What personal data we collect and why we collect it

In a nutshell, the data we collect is ours, we do not sell it on or share it for any reason. Contact details are for the purpose of dealing with your order only, unless you signed up for our erratic newsletter, we have no urgent need to contact you for any other reason.

Comments and any images you send us made may be shared as part of our personal marketing or advertising.

(this next bit was already in the website template so we left it in… basically if any part of this page reads like a solicitor is in the room, it sounded sensible so we left it in)

When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymised string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service Privacy Policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

We always welcome customers to send in images of themselves wearing items of ours because it both makes us smile and helps encourage more customers to trust us with their money, which as a small business is vital!

Please include your cosplay handle and photographer credit so that we can give both of you the shout out you deserve!

If you would rather us not use your image publicly, please let us know immediately.

Contact forms

This is used for you asking anything not found on the FAQ page, as far as we are aware the website does not do anything suspicious with the information within in.

Couriers and our marketing are the only people who will use it.

How long we retain your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognise and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on our website, we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

Where we send your data

Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service. but we certainly do not send it anywhere it shouldn’t be!

Your contact information

Now, this is important!

PLEASE use an email address that you check regularly if you order from us. We may need to check details of your order, inform you of any issues that may arise etc..this is frustrating as hell if you only check your email address once a month and can hold up the creation of your items.

None of your personal contact details are for anything other than making and shipping your order to you.

We need a valid phone number as most couriers require it upon booking so that if they have problems delivering, they can contact you. This is especially vital if you are ordering from outside the UK.
