We support gender (or lack of) presentation and sexuality in all its forms, and have worked with the trans community in particular for many years.
We aim to be inclusive and therefore all items are created the way you would like them.


We also work closely with other makers with the same core values of inclusivity and diversity, providing costume soft parts and props to suit all your costuming desires.

Disability awareness policy

Many of our clients have additional needs when it comes to the finer details of wearing a cosplay.
We have previously adapted items in ways such as our fastening methods, ease of getting in and out of an item or sensory issues right through to having braille markings to indicate left and right sides etc..

If we can assist in making your leather item more comfortable for your enjoyment and security, please simply let us know.

Privacy Policy

Who we are:

Cosmic Workshop is a small, family run business that creates leather armour and accessories for the entertainment industry.
We are based in Cheshire, UK and ship internationally.

DATA we collect and why:
In terms of our business, we only collect data from you that we need to process and ship your order.
We do not sell our customers details on to anyone else.

Cosmic Workshop does however utilise Mailchimp for our marketing, as well as couriers (UPS, FedEx, DPD or DX) for shipping.
These businesses will have their own privacy policies in place which we would recommend you checked out if you require more information.

 

Cookies:

If you leave a comment on our site you may opt in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies.
These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment.
These cookies will last for one year.

If you visit our login page, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.



When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices.

We always welcome customers to send in images of themselves wearing items of ours because we love seeing your cosplays all finished!

Please include your cosplay handle and photographer credit so that we can give both of you the shout out you deserve!

If you would rather us not use your image publicly, please let us know immediately.

shipping policy

The following are the terms and conditions that constitute our Shipping Policy.

 

Shipment processing time

All orders are made to order and turnaround times are stated on each item description. Occasionally this may be longer in case of staff being unavailable or holidays affecting the working week.

If we are experiencing a high volume of orders, some of the more time consuming items may be delayed by a few days. If there will be a significant delay in shipment of your order, we will contact you via email.

If you require something urgently then please contact us prior to ordering so that we can confirm the faster turnaround time.


Shipping rates & delivery estimates

All deliveries will be made to the address that the Customer gives for delivery of the product.

We send all our products in the UK using DX or DPD Courier service or in the case of small items, Royal Mail’s First Class Signed for service.  We use flat rates in place based on the weight and size of your products. 

For International customers we send items using fully insured and Tracked courier service.  Again, our flat rates are based on the weight and size of your products. 

Cosmic Workshop reserves the right to refuse to deliver to an address that may not be secure. This address could be (but is not limited to) a communal postal address, a BFPO or a PO Box. In this event, osmic Workshop will inform the Customer as soon as possible.

Cosmic Workshop will not be liable to the Customer in the event that we are prevented by circumstance from delivering product that the Customer has ordered.

The Customer should be aware that, when goods are shipped internationally, they are subject to opening and inspection by Customs authorities and customers may incur import tariff charges to receive goods.


Shipment confirmation & Order tracking

You will receive a Shipment Confirmation email once your order has shipped, a tracking number will be included in this.


Customs, Duties and Taxes 

Cosmic Workshop is not responsible for any customs and taxes applied to your order. All fees imposed during or after shipping are the responsibility of the customer (tariffs, taxes, etc.).

returns & refunds policy

Overview

If you change your mind after ordering an item, you have 24 hours from ordering to contact us and cancel your order, otherwise you are only able to claim a 50% refund due to materials being paid for and in some cases, the item being started.. After 72 hours, no item that has a custom size is refundable.

If when you receive your item, it is in good condition, you just do not like it, you are unfortunately not eligible for a refund as everything is custom made, made to measure and clearly documented in the product listing, there are no surprises.

If your custom sized item does not fit you when you receive it, please contact us so we can work out where the error lies. A common mistake is not wearing your costume before measuring up for an item, or you did not get a helper for a tricky measurement and it ended up being out, these are examples of non-refundable or un-replaceable situations due to the error being on your part.

If we have made an error when constructing (this rarely happens, but we are human and not infallible!) then please contact us to discuss possible repair, replacement or refund.

If your item is damaged in transit, please take photographs for evidence immediately with date of delivery; as we need to those details in order to make a claim against the courier involved. Then, after contacting us, re-package your item, mark the box clearly as RETURNS and send back to Cosmic Workshop.

Once we get the item back, we will immediately refund you in full if that is your wish or we will arrange, if you requested, a replacement item.

Refunds

Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.

If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your original method of payment, within 48 hours.

Late or missing refunds

If you have not had notification of your refund being processed within 48 hours, please contact us for confirmation. Some banks have a 3-5 working day delay in clearing funds once you have had our confirmation of refund being processed.

Sale items

Only regular priced items may be refunded. Sale items cannot be refunded.

Exchanges

We only replace items with no further costs to you if they are defective due to the fault of Cosmic Workshop or it has been damaged in transit.

Shipping returns

To return your product, you should clearly mark the package as RETURNS and mail your item to:

You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Your initial shipping cost will be included in your refund if the item in question is being returned due to our error or defect

Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you may vary.

If you are returning more expensive items, you may consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We cannot guarantee that we will receive your returned item. as it is out of our control.
